Okay, this is definitely debatable, but after working hundreds of weddings, I’m going to put my professional opinion out there…
7.30pm!
If your evening guests are arriving at 7pm, think about their day. They may have finished work, rushed home, showered, got dressed, sorted their hair and make-up and headed straight back out of the door to travel to your wedding.
By the time they arrive, grab a drink and say their hellos, they’re probably going to be hungry!
Now I know what you’re thinking…
“Our day guests only finished their wedding breakfast at 3pm or 4pm!”
Absolutely, but they don’t have to eat the evening food at 7.30pm. They can have a dance, another drink and grab something at 8pm or 8.30pm when they’re ready.
For most of us, 8.30pm is getting pretty late to be having our evening meal, especially for those guests who haven’t eaten since lunchtime.
So for me, 7.30pm is the sweet spot.
With love and support,
Yasmin
