Groomsmen

The Night Before The Wedding

The night before the wedding, encourage the groom to remove his watch, jewellery before bed, and avoid tight socks (especially if the groom has decided to wear shorts on his wedding day.) This helps prevent marks on the skin so his suit looks smooth and is comfortable on the day he says yes!

Getting Dressed

Make sure the room is clear and tidy before getting dressed. Help the groom fasten buttons and cufflinks, and assist with the jacket once everything else is in place. Finish with shoes and accessories last.

The Aisle

. Please don’t leave the groom stood at the top of the aisle by himself for too long. Make sure he has company and that you’re stood with him. It can really feel like your stood for eternity when your alone and all eyes are on you

Top Tip For The Best Man…

Be mindful that the couple will have spent a significant amount of time and money on their wedding. If you are planning to head out the night before for a few drinks make sure it’s just a couple and don’t go overboard.

Maid Of Honour & Bridesmaids

The Night Before The Wedding

The night before the wedding, it’s advised to go braless, sock-free and remove all jewellery. This helps avoid any marks or indentations on the skin, ensuring your dresses look seamless on the wedding day.

Getting Dressed

Most dresses allow you to step into them, so make sure the floor is clear and tidy. Lay your dress down on the clean floor, step into it carefully, making sure you aren’t wearing any jewellery. Ask someone to do the zip for you. Finish by putting on your jewellery and shoes with a spritz of perfume.

Walking Down The Aisle

Just before walking down the aisle, remind everyone holding bouquets to place them at their navel, tilt the flowers slightly forward, look up and smile!

Top Tip For The Maid Of Honour…

Once the brides dress is fastened up, take a moment to gently smooth out any back creases.

It’s a small step but makes a huge difference to how the dress sits.

Top Tip…

This top tip is for the everyone walking down the aisle:

Make sure you know exactly where you’ll be walking and where you’ll be seated before the ceremony takes place — it’s one less thing to think about in those final moments before you walk.

And remember… Don’t rush! If you feel like you’re walking slowly…

Slow down even more for a beautiful, graceful entrance.
